Item notes (hot sauce, no sugar…)

in Products, next to each product there is a notes button 📝 (its number = how many notes it has) — press it, type a note and press Enter, add what you need, then «Save».

For all products or a group at once: «Select all» (or search a category name, then select all) → «Item notes» in the bar; the notes are added to every selected product and their own notes stay.

Or write to me: «add notes hot sauce, no sugar to all products» (or to a category or one item; «remove notes … from …» takes them off).

At the till they show as quick buttons under the item in the cart; the cashier taps them, they are written on the item and print with the kitchen order. The «Note» button on the item opens a popup with all the notes: the item’s own notes (with their prices) and under «All notes» every other note in the shop (the general ones and the notes of all other items) — tap any, or type a free note, then «Done»; «Clear notes» removes them all. Any note or priced extra the cashier types is saved once and shows in the popup for every item after that, no retyping (edit the list and its prices in Products → Notes & extras, or with «Add / edit» inside the popup).

• Item notes are for restaurants only: in a market, salon or factory there is no «Note» button, Notes page or «Preset notes» product field. In tailoring, style choices (collar, sleeve, pockets…) are set per garment in Tailoring orders → Settings, and each piece has its own note in the order.

Category notes: in Products → Categories press «Notes» next to a category (or open the category edit window → «Category notes»), type its notes (e.g. No onion, Extra sauce +2) and «Save». Items of that category then show at the till only the category notes + the item’s own notes + the priced extras from the Notes page; the other general notes are hidden. A category with no notes shows all notes as before. They go to branches with «Full menu».
